Surf, sand, sea and milk?
As we enter another awesomely perfect weekend in Huntington Beach, I thought I’d share with you some snapshots of last weekend at the beach.
< After parking on the street, we started to make our way to the pier to catch Project S.O.S and visit the Mootopia lounge and were happily greeted by a skatepark at The Strand. There was a dj blasting cool tunes from the Skechers store too but it didn’t look like anybody really knew about the ramps. Too bad because as skaters in town know – we DON’T HAVE a cool SKATEPARK in the City.
< At the beach they were giving cool freebies for those checking out Project Save Our Surf’s 24-hour Surfathon like our family fave VITAMIN WATER! The Surfathon was for the benefit of Heal the Bay, Surfrider Foundation and the Inside the Outdoors Program.
< Cool bearded dragon at the Inside the Outdoors tent.
On the beach, we found the Mootopia flag waving high. Moo-what? Well you must’ve seen them on TV – beautiful beings with perfect hair, muscles and teeth all because of milk. I had my hair and nails done by two Mootopians while the kids had their fill of Milk and Cookies. Thanks to the California Milk Processor Board.
< My Mootopian hairdresser “Skimela” aka Cynthia
< The boys sport Mootopian sunglasses and chill out on the beach.
Finally, we settled down to watch the Surf-a-thon – I tried to look for the celebrities that were supposed to participate but didn’t recognize anyone.
I was distracted from the surfing by watching my kids playing in the sand and getting wipedout by the incoming tide. Drenched and sandy, that’s when we knew it was time to go home.
