Make a Splash at the Hyatt

Summer at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa isn’t just for friendly tourists but for locals as well. On Friday night, we enjoyed the Mexican-inspired Family Buffet at Pete’s Sunset Grille before hitting the hotel’s main pool for K-Earth 101’s Sunset Splash Party.  We feasted on carne asada, chicken fajitas and fish tacos and of course, for dessert, the kids were all about the ice cream bar.

At Pete’s we got to hang out with fellow blogger families DaytrippingMom and Rockin’Mama. It’s always a grand time when families can get together and hang out.

After dinner, we went to the Sunset Splash Party hoping to dive into the pool and chill out to some cool tunes but it was actually rather chilly so we decided to skip the water and head for the fire pit where the kids had fun making – what else – smores! According to party host and K-EARTH 101 Morning Show personality Samantha Stander, “We love coming to the Hyatt in Huntington Beach for Sunset Splash!” Indeed it was a wonderful experience that’s making me invite you and all our Surf City Family friends to come to the last concert-party in the series happening on August 20th from 7-10pm. The event is FREE and there are lots of giveaways and $5 drink specials.

What are you waiting for?  Meet us at the Hyatt next month. 🙂

*By the way, turn up the music to this slideshow.  It’s by Surf City’s very own — Dirty Heads!
