Taste of Huntington Beach on May 1st
I met the Old World chicken at last year’s Taste of Huntington Beach event, where I volunteered alongside fellow HB-resident and blogging mama, @shescookin. As a member of the Friends of the Children’s Library, I know only too well about the months of hard work that goes into putting up this awesome foodie fest. Imagine over 40 restaurants, wineries, breweries and caterers serving up their fare all for one ticket price! Yes, for $65 you get to sample all the food and drink, you get live entertainment and most of all, you contribute to a great cause, the Children’s Library!
This year’s participants include FRED’S, Deli-licious, Mangiamo Gelato Caffe, Duke’s, Longboard, Ra Sushi, Sandy’s Beach Grill, Lazy Dog Cafe, and Mother’s Market among others.
Performing onstage will be the Surf City All-Stars. Legendary Dean Torrence of Jan and Dean will sing his classic song “Surf City” with the All-Stars.
The Annual Taste of Huntington Beach will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2011, from 12 noon to 4 PM at the Huntington Beach Sports Complex. Ticket prices are as: $65 for General Admission which lets you sample all the food and drink at the Taste event and includes a commemorative 2011 Taste of HB cup; $85 VIP ticket lets you sample all the food and drink at the Taste and receive the commemorative cup PLUS – 11am entry into the VIP area, complimentary champagne and hors d’oeuvres, two free entries to our raffle and early entry into the Taste tent and a Taste of Huntington Beach VIP tote bag.
