EARTH DAY BEACH CLEAN UP on SAT
April 22nd is Earth Day. But I believe, EVERYDAY should be Earth Day. It’s the little things that count – reusing things, recycling, and being mindful of our energy use. Turn the lights off when not in use, turn the faucet off when brushing your teeth — model these eco-friendly ways so that your children will follow suit.
This Saturday, the Surfrider Foundation will hold a beach clean up at 17th Street. They provide the bags, hand sanitizer – all you have to do is show up and be willing to help. The foundation is always looking for volunteers to help at the booth as well as participate in the cleanups. Beach clean up is from 8am -noon.
