Surf City Celebrates Freedom

Our fair city is celebrating freedom all weekend. There’ll be a festival at Pier Plaza on Saturday and Sunday and of course, people will start staking out prime parade viewing spots. For information on parking, street closures and staking out, click here.

Start of the 4th of July with the Kiwanis’ annual Pancake Breakfast at Lake Park (tickets are $5) , join the Surf City 5 K Run and Fitness Expo, and of course, watch the biggest Independence Day parade in Souther California starting at 10am. In the evening, catch the Fireworks starting at 9pm. According to the official, HB 4th of July website, “This year’s fireworks 23-minute spectacular, with a total of 1,300 rounds of fireworks – 500 of them during the finale in the last 40 seconds of the show — is expected to attract twice that many. (as last year’s 150,000 onlookers).”

Here is the schedule for the 4th of July:
Lake Park Breakfast 6am – 10am
Surf City 5k Run and Fitness Expo 7am – 12pm
Huntington Beach 107th Parade 10am – 12pm
Fireworks 9pm at the HB Pier
