DISCOVERY SCIENCE CENTER BLASTS OFF AT 19th ANNUAL ROCKET LAUNCH
Here’s a fun event for Surf City Families!
WHAT:
Discovery Science Center (DSC), Future Scientists and Engineers of America (FSEA) and The Boeing Company (Boeing) team up to offer a FREE day of hands-on science and family fun at the 19th annual Rocket Launch. The community is invited to design, build and launch their own rockets made of two-liter plastic soda bottles. The competition will consist of creating and launching a bottle water rocket (yes, you will get wet) and the payload with the longest “hang time” in the air wins!

Rocket Launch is a free event open to the public. Guests will get the chance to meet Astronaut Chris Ferguson, compete and win prizes, plus indulge in Southern California’s top food trucks, such as: Barcelona-On-The-Go, Pogi Boy, Dos Chinos, Dogzilla, Viking Truck, Garlicscape, and Mustache Mikes!
