Pups N Pinot Fundraiser on Sunday at Newland House

We were lucky enough to attend this event when it started. This year, the Pups N Pinot Wine and Food Tasting Event to benefit A Leg Up Rescue/ Waggin’ Trails Transport will be held on Sunday, June 24th, 1pm-6pm, at the Newland House, 19822 Beach Blvd. Huntington Beach 92648

There will be  a VIP Reception from 1-2pm, at the Newland House Garden, Newland Shopping Center.  The festivities will include fine wine tasting, gourmet bites from local restaurants as well as wines from the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Paso Robles and Temecula’s most exclusive wineries.  Silent & Live Auctions include vacations in the Napa and Sonoma Valley, Cabo San Lucas, restaurants, spa treatments, and pet items as well.  The day features great food & family fun featuring live entertainment from the Jim Nichols Band and the 5150’s, a Pooch Pageant, live magic and surprises.  Visit www.PupsNPinot.com for details and updated information.

Tickets may be purchased online at a reduced price of $35 ($45 VIP) or at the door.  All guests over 21 receive a souvenir wine glass, and VIP’s take away a “swag bag” full of goodies.

One hundred percent of the proceeds of the event benefits A Leg Up Rescue/ Waggin’ Trails, a nonprofit 501c3.  ALUR/Waggin’ Trails rescues dogs and cats from California shelters and other life threatening situations where they are in immediate danger of euthanasia and transports them to other states where shelters are less impacted and there are people waiting to adopt.   Once in this program, the animals are treated for medical issues, micro chipped and vaccinated, spayed or neutered and placed in foster homes where they remain with a family until an adoptive, forever home can be found.

A Leg Up Rescue also aims to create awareness about solutions that save the lives of pets and is in need of a transport vehicle to bring rescued pets to waiting screened families in other states. Volunteer applications are being accepted as well as donations for the auctions. We are also seeking vendors who would like to participate in this event which expects to bring in over 700 people this year.  Call 714-328-8661 and ask for Gisela if you would like to donate, volunteer and know more about the wonderful work we do in enabling people and pets to share rewarding lives TOGETHER.
