Cool Summer Nights at Shipley Nature Center Tackle Earth-Friendly Topics

Summer programming at the Shipley Nature Center includes Cool Summer Nights. Every Thursday, this past July, there have been programs about raptors, butterflies and lizards, among other topics. The Thursday night programs continue through August. On August 8th, from 4-8pm, Ride or Hike to the Shipley Nature Center, kids can participate in the Planet Water Golf Tournament; on August 15th, from 8:30-9:30pm, explore the skies above Shipley with the Orange County Astronomers. Before that, from 6-8pm The Southern California Dulcimer Heritage group will jam in the ampitheater.  Next, on August 22nd, Greg Goran from the Surfrider Foundation will discuss the value of ocean friendly gardens in helping to keep runoff pollutions from your ocean. Finally on August 29th, from 6-7pm, the discussion will be all about succulents.
