Fun and Learning this Halloween at Discovery Science Center
What a treat indeed. Our Surf City Family visited the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana last week and experienced both the seasonal Spooky Science exhibit and the fascinating Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not exhibit. Spooky Science activities include making your own slime, interactive stage shows (we saw Wizard of Ooze), measuring and decorating pumpkins, meeting creepy crawlers and going through a fun 3-D maze.
The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not® features items and interactive exhibits from Robert Ripley’s legendary collection of oddities, anomalies and fantastic feats! The exhibit which is open till January 5, 2014 showcases various objects and wonders of Ripley’s famous collection. Lots of photo opportunities too with the Titanboa and Megaladon for example. There is something for both kids and their parents at this exhibit.
Both Spooky Science and The Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not are included in general admission to Discovery Science Center. Tickets can be purchased at the science center or online at www.discoverycube.org . Prices are as follows: adult ($15.95), senior ($12.95), and children 3-14 ($12.95). Discovery Science Center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
