My Huntington Beach – Traci Hawkins of Porcelain Hair Studio
Traci Hawkins is the lovely owner of Porcelain Hair Studio in Downtown Huntington Beach. She is our featured guest for “My HB” in which we ask Huntington Beach locals about their Surf City favorites.
Surf City Family (SCF): How long have you lived in Huntington Beach?
Traci Hawkins (TH): I have lived in Huntington Beach for 9 years. I ended up needing a change and my best friend lived in long beach so I wanted to move closer to her. I ended up falling in love with Huntington and moving in with her cousin. I decided to make my staple in Huntington beach and open my own full service salon.
SCF: What do you like best about living in here?
TH: What I like best about living here is the community. I come from a small town where everyone knows everyone and I feel like when you live in HB everyone is like that. I love that everyone is out and active.
SCF: What are some of your favorite local restaurants?
TH: My favorite place for breakfast is NoKaOi on Main Street. They have a huge selection. The best place for dining with family for me would be Coach’s because its a nice environment and everyone treats you like family.
SCF: Got any tips for Huntington Beach visitors?
TH: Tip for everyone visiting Huntington –is to check out all the small privately owned businesses because we have some unique shops in HB with great owners.
