The worlds of surf, skate and bmx converge for the 2014 Vans US Open of Surfing aka the biggest party in Huntington Beach, which will take place from July 26th to August 33rd, 2014. All events are free and open to the public and can be viewed daily on the live webcast at www.vansusopenofsurfing.com
Vans, the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP), and event owner and producer, IMG, announced dthis year’s impressive surfing line-up including 2013 men’s and women’s champions Alejo Muniz and Carissa Moore, Kelly Slater, Julian Wilson, Pat Gudauskas, Sally Fitzgibbons and Brazilian Jr. Yago Dora.

Also happening during the US Open of Surfing is the Van Doren Invitational , skateboarding’s premier bowlriding competition. Top skaters from around the world will battle it out before a live audience for top honors and more than $135,000 in prize money. The Van Doren Invitational will be held at the Vans Pro Bowl on the sand on August 1st and 2nd, 2014. The competition is by invitation only and will showcase skate talents including current World Bowlriding Champion Pedro Barros, X-Games gold medalist Curren Caplese and reigining Van Doren Invitational champion Ben Hatchell and more.
On July 27th and July 29th, the Van Doren Invitational Shop Battle and Women’s events will take place.

Last but not least, the Van Doren BMX Invitational will also take place during the Vans US Open of Surfing. Forty of the greatest BMX riders in the world will come together to compete in one incredible all-cement bowl, the Vans Pro Bowl.
