Pedego Huntington Beach Celebrates Three Years!
(from a press release)
Three years ago this month, Huntington Beach native Tom Bock brought Pedego Electric Bikes to downtown Huntington Beach, and the city has been energized with fun ever since. Located a couple of blocks from the beach on the corner of 5th and Olive, Pedego Huntington Beach has grown into an integral part of Surf City, USA.
Bock chose a simple formula for success upon opening his store: Make fun hit the turf in a city known for surf. It worked. It didn’t take residents and visitors long to discover how many thrills could come from zipping out of the store’s bright red building.
A veteran businessman, Bock’s vision also included contributing to the city in meaningful ways. He now sits on the Board of Directors for the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce. What’s more, Pedego Huntington Beach (HB) stepped up when the city needed a bicycle parking valet. Making use of the store’s large parking lot, Bock’s team created a bicycle valet for the public. Anyone can park a bicycle in a secure location at Pedego HB and know it will be found safe upon return.
Then there’s the store’s success. Pedego Huntington Beach has sold hundreds of bikes to delighted riders. The most popular model has been the Pedego Interceptor. This cruiser-style bike boasts a muscular 500-watt motor and 48-volt battery. It also offers Pedego’s Pedal Assist function as well as a throttle for the ultimate in control while riding. “Riders say these bikes help them feel like kids again,” said Bock. “They can pedal through Huntington’s strong headwinds and still be smiling when they arrive at their destinations.” Pedego’s contemporary neon colors have helped make the Interceptor a fashionable choice as well.
With plenty of sunshine and great weather, Pedego HB is going to be humming with business during its anniversary. It will be a celebration of fun. Bock is familiar with what has come to be known as the Pedego Smile. “I see that grin all the time,” he laughed. “Huntington Beach residents and visitors just love these bikes.” Fortunately for the crowds, Pedego HB offers a large fleet of Pedego electric bikes in choices of several models and styles. Bock carries all the Pedego models from basic Comfort Cruisers to the powerful Trail Trackers and the famous Ford Super Cruisers powered by Pedego. Everyone is invited to stop by and take a free test ride on a Pedego electric bike. As the last three years have shown, it will be a whole lot of fun!
Pedego® Huntington Beach is the city’s only electric bike store offering sales, rentals and guided tours. Pedego Huntington Beach is open seven days per week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Located one block off Main Street on the corner of 5th and Olive streets, Pedego Huntington Beach is just two blocks from the beach.
