#iheartOC Giving Day to Raise Funds for Local Causes*
Save the Date. April 21. This marks Orange County Community Foundation’s (OCCF) first ever I heart OC Giving Day, during which time they aim to deliver $2 million to Orange County nonprofits in a 30 hour period, much like a telethon. OCCF is investing $500,000 to establish the bonus pool with a goal of generating an additional $1.5 million in online donations.
Local Huntington Beach nonprofits hoping to raise funds include: Amigos de Bolsa Chica, Alzheimer’s Family Services Center , Bolsa Chica Conservancy Boys and Girls Club of Huntington Valley Build Futures, Colette’s Children’s Home, Oakview Renewal Partnership and the Therapeutic Riding Center of Huntington Beach, Inc.
So remember, you can support your favorite cause by donating on Giving Day, April 21 to April 22. Donations start at just $25. A little goes a long way.
Another way to give is by participating in this one-of-a-kind raffle. Surf City Family readers can win $150 to grant to the nonprofit of their choice during Giving Day on April 21-22. The Orange County Community Foundation is giving away three of these prizes.
We encourage everyone to participate in OCCF’s #iheartoc Giving Day. For more information, visit iheartoc.org between 6 am on April 21 to noon on April 22 to give back to an OC nonprofit that speaks to your heart.
