Reasons to Attend the 2016 Taste of Huntington Beach
This year, Surf City Family is proud to be one of the sponsors of The Taste of Huntington Beach, the annual gathering to raise funds for the Children’s Library of the Huntington Beach Library.
It is an incredible gathering featuring food, drink, live music and fun, taking place on April 24, 2016, from 12 – 4 pm at the Huntington Beach Sports Complex; 18100 Goldenwest Street (across the parking lot from the HB Central Library).
“Huntington Beach has so much to offer in terms of restaurants. Most people don’t realize how big the HB restaurant scene is until they see all the participants in one place. This event creates a fun and exciting buzz with amazing food!” shares Slapfish chef/owner and local Huntington Beach resident Andrew Gruel, who not only returns to the Taste tent but will also be serving up something special at the VIP tent.
Live musical entertainment will be provided by local favorites Chris Farmer Duo (Chris was the former musical director of the legendary Beach Boys) and 80s cover band After Party. The event’s presenting sponsor is Beach Blvd. of Cars and is also supported by Chobani, Superior Valet, The Local News, The Local HB, Surf City Family, Big Top Rentals, Albertsons/Vons, Duke’s HB, Rainbow Environmental Service, US Foods, College Nannies and Tutors, PK Real Estate, HB Culture, Avalon Huntington Beach, UPS Store, Pepsi Beverage Co. and SkillCraft Auto.
Tickets are available for purchase online at tastehb.com and in person at the Children’s Desk at the Huntington Beach Central Library and at Longboard’s in Downtown Huntington Beach.
Here are our FOUR REASONS FOR ATTENDING this year’s Taste of Huntington Beach:
1. Someone from the Food Network will be there!
It’s Simon Majumdar – a familiar face on the Food Network, where he is a popular judge and food critic on shows like The Next Iron Chef and Cutthroat Kitchen. He is also an author so that totally makes sense for him to be at an event supporting the library!
2. The number of restaurants, wineries and breweries!
As of this writing, there are 80 total! Feast your eyes on this list of participants:
