Surf City Family got the chance to meet two Blue Angels last week, during the Huntington Beach Airshow’s media briefing. Blue Angel #7, piloted by Lt. Brandon Hempler, the show’s narrator and Lt. Dave Steepe, the Blue Angel Event Coordinator, was supposed to complete a survey flight over Huntington Beach but unfortunately, due to weather conditions had to change its flight path. Lt. Hempler and Lt. Dave Steepe shared with media and Huntington Beach city council members, who were present, the preparation that went into Blue Angel training. Breitling Huntington Beach Airshow Director Mike McCabe was also on hand to talk about the upcoming show, which promises to be even bigger and better than the last.
