HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., June 12, 2017 – One of the most dynamic lineups of country, hip-hop, rock, indie, punk and pop artists will take over Huntington Beach this summer, as Prjkt Restaurant Group and Synergy Global Entertainment Inc. (SGE) partner to transform SeaLegs at the Beach into a live, beach-front music venue SEALEGS LIVE – the first and only in California.
“Nothing says ‘summer in Southern California’ more than surf, sand and music, and we’re delighted to celebrate our second year of operations by transforming SeaLegs at the Beach into a live concert venue that presents some of Billboard’s top charters in an intimate setting, with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop,” said Alicia Whitney, CEO, Prjkt Restaurant Group. “No other venue offers fans a better opportunity to see their favorite artists up close and live, experience Bolsa Chica State Beach and enjoy concession-style food and alcohol.”
In addition to SeaLegs at the Beach, Orange County foodies know Whitney as the originator of SeaLegs Wine Bar, the award-winning wine bar and lounge, which Gayot named as one of the top 10 restaurants in Orange County, as well as SeaSalt Woodfire Grill. She turned her attention last year to Bolsa Chica State Beach when she beat out 20 other bidders for the right to create four distinct dining venues along the 2.8-mile stretch of historic coastline, which was once called “Tin Can Beach” before being designated as a state beach in 1960.
“We are delighted to see Bolsa Chica State Beach on display as the center of this live music experience in Orange County,” said Kevin Pearsall, State Park Superintendent, Orange Coast District North, California State Parks. “We’ve entrusted Prjkt Restaurant Group with carrying out our vision of offering healthy entertainment experiences at the beach and believe it will only enhance the public’s opportunity to create lifelong memories at this state treasure.”
SGE founder John Reese – a renowned music executive who is the CEO of SGE and produces over 30 varied music and entertainment festivals and events throughout North America– discovered Prjkt Restaurant Group and Whitney after multiple meetings that coalesced their mutual passion for events and live music. From that passion, this first-of-its-kind entertainment partnership formed.
“Within a few short months, we’ve been able to amass a diverse lineup of performers that fans can experience under the stars in an incredible beach setting,” Reese said. “There’s nothing like SeaLegs at the Beach as a concert venue anywhere in America. We’re bringing together everything people love about live music and presenting it at an intimate venue with a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean – and not simply for one night.”

Since 2005 SGE has made its mark producing and marketing large scale live music festivals, tours and events, but nothing as intimate or creative as this partnership with Prjkt Restaurant Group, which includes three-to-four planned shows a week throughout 2017. During the concert season, SeaLegs at the Beach will be open during the day as a walk-up eatery serving a seaside version of SeaLegs Wine Bar’s California cuisine, including baja ceviche, poke nachos, and Mexicali chicken tacos. In the evening, however, the venue will become SEALEGS LIVE, the setting for a bevy of country, hip-hop, acoustic, reggae, pop and flashback performances.
SGE has also partnered with Go Country 105FM, 95.5 KLOS and 93.1 Jack FM to develop a diverse lineup of performances. “We are proud to partner on this exciting series, as it brings talented artists to Southern California,” said Michael Levine, Station Manager and Program Director for Go Country 105. Wendy Ellis, KLOS Director of Marketing added, “This venue and location is absolutely amazing…what a stunning place for a rock show! We can’t wait for our listeners to enjoy it all summer long.”
