86th Annual Festival of Arts Brings Art, Music and More to Laguna Beach July 5 – September 1, 2018
Worth the drive from Huntington Beach. And really it’s just a hop, skip and drive down the coast to Laguna Beach for The Festival of Arts Fine Art Show AND Pageant of the Masters! The Festival of Arts is celebrating its 86th year! The show will run from July 5 to September 1 and features live music, hands-on art activities, exhibitions of local student artwork and a wide variety of special events, such as Concerts on the Green and the Art, Jazz, Wine and Chocolate series. For me, personally, one of the most unique summer experiences one can have in Orange County is the Pageant of the Masters, where art literally comes to life! Now on its 85th year, Pageant of the Masters is a part of Laguna Beach’s Festival of Arts, in which great art is recreated in tableaux vivants – that is live models and actors (all volunteers!) are dressed in costume and makeup, and theatrically lit to recreate famous paintings. This year’s theme is “Under the Sun.”
