The Great Pacific Airshow and 5th and PCH To Hold Welcoming Ceremony for Performers and Community on Thursday, Oct. 18 in Huntington Beach

(Huntington Beach, CA) Oct. 2, 2018 – The 2018 Great Pacific Airshow, returning to Huntington Beach for the third year and featuring the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, will kick off the exciting, popular Airshow with a community event beginning at 6pm on Thursday, Oct. 18 at 5th and PCH in Huntington Beach. The public is invited to this free event to welcome the Airshow performers. The evening will be hosted by KTLA’s Lynette Romero and will include a performer Q and A session, live music from The Crew 52 – the Lifeguard Band, food and official Airshow merchandise.

Hosted by the retail and hospitality plaza known as 5th and PCH, this event is an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the crown jewel of Huntington Beach’s fall event season – The Great Pacific Airshow. Last year’s show attracted more than two million people over three days as people of all ages were thrilled by the patriotic show.

“The Great Pacific Airshow brings the Huntington Beach and surrounding communities together like no other event in this city,” said Lance Taylor, director at EB Arrow, owners of 5th and PCH. “We are honored to host this event and officially welcome the highly skilled performers who will grace our skies during Airshow weekend.”

“The Pacific Airshow is first and foremost a community, organized by members of this community, and we want the performers to know the goodwill and good vibes of Huntington Beach,” said Airshow Director Kevin Elliott, president of Pacific Airshow LLC.

The public is invited to bring their beach chairs and blankets for seating at the welcoming ceremony.
