Slater’s 50/50 is back in Surf City!

I still remember the first time I tasted a 50/50 burger years ago at then-newly opened Slater’s on Adams and Beach. It was juicy and bacon-licious! I also enjoyed the neighborhood vibe of the place and brought a few out of town guests to Slater’s so they could taste my favorite Peanut Butter and Jeallousy burger. (peanut butter on a burger? Trust me, it is delicious!) 

So when that location closed I was worried that things wouldn’t be the same when they moved.

My fears were unfounded because at Slater’s now located on Beach and Warner, where a Chili’s used to be, it’s still the same old Slater’s goodness with a paired down and improved menu. They kept the old reliables like the Vampire Dip, signature 5050 and (thank goodness!) peanut butter and jeallousy.

It still has that neighborhood feel too. The new location is larger and can easily accommodate 300 people for those corporate or fun family events. 

For Happy Hour lovers, check out Slater’s 50/50’s Happy Hour on Monday to Friday from 3 pm-7 pm and Sunday to Friday, 9 pm to close. 

Another good deal is the daily $10 lunch special on certain menu items, from 11 am -2 pm
