Huntington Beach Annual 4th of July Celebration – June 30 – July 4, 2022
Surf City Independence Day Traditions Return!
Now a world-class destination, the City of Huntington Beach held its very first 4th of July Celebration 118 years ago. It’s with great pride that SoCal’s Surf City residents come together and welcome visitors from all over for a weekend of seaside, family-friendly fun.
“We look forward to a true return to form of the largest 4th of July in the West, celebrating and honoring 118 years of hometown tradition,” says Ryan Heil of Soundskilz, the production agency behind the celebrations this summer.
The annual celebration kicks off on the evening of Thursday, June 30th at the Opening Night Block Party. Sponsors are celebrated, while local vendors will line Main Street. A live band will perform on stage w while local bars and restaurants will open their doors to all looking to celebrate. Visitors can stroll down Main St to the Pier Vendor Festival, featuring 70+ vendors including craft + retail booths, food trucks, carnival rides, live music, and more! The Pier Festival runs all weekend long (through July 4th), and all ages are welcome.
Bright and early on Monday, July 4th, hundreds will take on the Annual Surf City Run. This year, the Surf City Run (5K) and Kids Fun Run (1 mile) is heading back downtown to the neighborhood streets; a beautiful course participants have come to know and love over the years. All participants receive an official finisher medal, with awards given to first, second, and third place (male and female in each age division). Advance registration is currently open (closes June 26), with onsite / race-day registration also available.

Starting at 10 AM on July 4th at Main St. & PCH, the 2.5 mile parade route annually attracts 200+ registered groups to participate and 250k viewers.

Any events for Saturday & Sunday?
Looks like my kind of Surf town. May just have to leave the east Coast and venture out.
