The Surfing Circle of Honor, Celebrating Surfing in the Summer Games will take place on International Surfing Day June 20th, in support of the International Surfing Museum, Huntington Beach, CA.
The parade begins on Main Street at 8:30 a.m. and will proceed to Northside of the Pier. Five hundred surfers will paddle out together to create the Surfing Circle of Honor, in an attempt to set a Guinness World record for the largest recorded paddle out in the world. The event also celebrates having surfing in the summer games for the first time in history.
Legends, groms, and locals are coming together from around the world on International Surfing Day 2017 to create the Surfing Circle of Honor. Our endgame is to create a circle of world wide surfing solidarity, and link it to our healthy surfing playgrounds, our oceans…and how we are “paying it forward” to our next generation.
After the parade and paddle out, there will be an after party at the Pasea Hotel, from 3 pm to 8 pm. Tickets to the party are $50 online. All proceeds go to the 501c3 Non-Profit International Surfing Museum.
