Go Fish! Save the date for Huck Finn Fishing Derby

Annual Kids Fishing Derby, Huntington Beach Pier
Registration for Fishing Derby starts at 8am at the end of the pier.

It’s that time of year again, when kids 15 and under, dress up in their Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher best armed with fishing poles and a lot of patience. The 48th Annual Huck Finn Fishing Derby will take place on August 13th, 2011, Saturday, starting at 8 am at the Huntington Beach Pier. This fishing event is FREE and there will be lots of prizes — for everything from best catch to best costume. Participants must bring their own fishing poles and tackle. A small amount of bait will be provided free of charge.

Radical Science show at the Children’s Library on Wednesday

On Wednesday, the Children’s Library at the Huntington Beach Public Library will present  Rudy’s Radical Science, a fun and entertaining show for kids of all ages showing the magic of science.
