Star Wars Themed Charity Relay Stops in Huntington Beach on 7/13
The Course of the Force,an Olympic-style light saber relay started at Skywalker Ranch on July 9, 2013 kicking off a week-long journey from San Francisco to San Diego, in the days leading up to San Diego Comic Con International. Tomorrow, July 13th, the course makes a stop at Huntington Beach.
Star Wars Fans can participate in the course by registering at courseoftheforce.com. The fee is $150 with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation® chapters of the Bay Area, Greater Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire and San Diego. For those who do not live in California and cannot make the Course of the Force, you can still make a donation by visiting the Fundraising Page.
The Course of the Force light saber relay participants will be leaving Santa Monica Pier at 7:00am and are expected to end at Huntington Beach Pier at 6:50pm. From 12:00pm – 8:00pm, Saturday, July 13th, however, there will be a “Conival” at Huntington Beach Pier Plaza with many Star Wars-themed family friendly activities.

The Star Wars Course of the Force event is presented by Lucasfilm Ltd. and Nerdist Industries. The festival at the Huntington Beach Pier is free and open to the public.
