Fab Find : HB Pita Grill Serves Up Tasty Mediterranean Cuisine
There’s a new restaurant in town called HB Pita Grill that serves fresh and delicious Mediterranean Food. From kabobs, gyros to hummus and falafel, HB Pita Grill is the real deal. The owner, Roger Samawi, is of Jordanian descent and shares that many of the items they serve are from family recipes. The walnut jalapeno dip which many Yelp-reviews have gushed about is “My mom’s recipe,” says Roger. His sister Karen is the cheerful person behind the counter and that’s one of the things that makes every visit to HB Pita Grill a good experience – the friendly service. Portions are generous too!
Bright and bold paintings hang on the walls. The art changes regularly. When I visited, local painters Jack Mcintire and Kim “Dangerwoman” Hamrock had their paintings on display. According to Roger, he likes giving exposure to local artists. He’s even sold some of the paintings. The artwork also goes well with HB Pita Grill’s red walls and minimalist décor.

Just wanted to say that I discovered this gem a few weeks ago and I am proud to say that I am now a regular customer and I have tried just about the whole menu. The gyro is the tastiest of all other places I have ever tried. The beef is so tender it melts in your mouth, not to mention the fresh hummus that “mom” prepares daily in the back along with many more of the delicious variety of items they serve. A true family owned and operated business that I can’t get enough of. Thanks H.B. Pita Grill!
