One of the best things about living in Huntington Beach is that you know you belong in a community that cares. We look out for each other. That’s why when my hairstylist emailed me about a fundraiser for someone who worked at her salon, I said I’d help spread the word. If you’re thinking of getting your hair cut and styled anyway, please consider scheduling an appointment at Porcelain Hair Studio in Huntington Beach on August 17th. Here’s why.
On August 17th, from 11am to 5pm, Porcelain Hair Studio in Downtown Huntington Beach will be holding a breast cancer fundraiser for Huntington Beach resident Lisa Leon, who worked at Porcelain as a massage therapist.
Traci Hawkins, owner of Porcelain Hair Studio said: “I had the pleasure of having a beautiful, passionate, sweet, positive and thoughtful woman work for us at Porcelain Hair Studio. Lisa Leon worked at Porcelain as a massage therapist. She healed and helped others that had pain and discomfort. Now it is our turn to help her back.”
Lisa was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in ductal carcinoma. She is a single parent caring for two daughters, ages 12 and 3. She lost her husband to cancer a few years back and is struggling to pay her medical bills. The Porcelain Hair Studio team is volunteering their time in order to help ease Lisa’s financial stress. Porcelain Hair Studio will be donating half of the proceeds from services on August 17th to Lisa Leon. Lamarca Prosecco will be donating complimentary drinks and snacks for this fundraiser. In addition, Porcelain will also be donating 20% of all boutique and products sold on that day.
The following services will go towards the fundraiser for Lisa:
$45 Woman’s Haircuts
$20 Men’s Haircuts
$39 60 min massage
$25 “the works” pedicure
