How long have you lived in Huntington Beach?

36 years. My family moved from Pennsylvania in October of my senior year of high school to Fountain Valley. Lived in Newport Beach while attending UCI and Huntington Beach ever since. Thanks, mom!

What do you like best about living here?

We have the most beautiful and diverse beaches with 10 miles of uninterrupted coastline. Everything you could possibly want is within walking and biking distance if you like downtown.

Name your favorite place to get breakfast?

Sugar Shack. For 36 years. Sunshine Special: scrambled dry with spuds and raisin toast… always!

Best place for dining out on a special occasion?

Ola – delicious food and cocktails with a killer view.

What is your favorite park or beach and why?

It’s a toss-up between “my beach” at City Beach – Tower 18 and dog beach. My beach because it’s straight out from my house and uncrowded and dog beach because I LOVE dogs!

Do you have a secret/tip to give anyone who wants to visit/live in Huntington Beach?

A tiny couple of buildings and if you blink you might miss them, but on the corner of PCH and 6th are Acai King, Primos Coffee and Sancho’s Tacos. Acai bowls so pretty you almost don’t wan’t to eat them, cronuts if you’re having a cheat day and a Flaco taco with chubby sauce. Mmmmmm, so yummy!
