Photo Essay: Huntington Beach Winter Storm + Aftermath
Three winter storms came through Southern California over the past week, giving Huntington Beach intense weather conditions. Here is a photo essay by photographer and Surf City Family contributor Larry Tenney showing images of famous Huntington Beach Pier during the stormy days and the aftermath of the storm at the beach.
After the storm, there was much debris and trash on both the north and south of the pier.
Anyone wishing to help with clean up the beach can contact Huntington Beach (City) Operations at 714-536-5281. You can report maintenance issues or set up a time to volunteer on the beach.
Other organizations that conduct Beach Clean Ups regularly are: HB Surfrider, Orange County Coastkeeper, and Drains to Ocean.
